Yesterday we went to a vineyard in Jura near the town of Arbois where we visited Louis Pasteur's home.  Louis Pasteur discovered the rabies vaccine and is considered to the father of modern enology (study of winemaking)To the left you can see me in Pasteur's garden with a river and houses in the background.  It was a very hot and beautiful day.
This is a really cool bike that was at his house:
This is a really cool coat hanger in his house!
The vineyards in Jura were, as to be expected, stunning.  With all of the mountains in the background and the beautiful skies, it was like being in a dream or in a book.  I was continually stunned that I was there.  The wine was also very good, coming from 60 year old vines.  The Savagnin was very fruity and tasted like apples for a couple of minutes after drinking it.  In all, it as a pretty spectacular day.
